My name is Ben Leonard, I am a qualified teacher of physical education currently teaching KS3, 4 and 5 at Chobham Academy, London (the first school to open on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. I have successfully driven and developed the use of ICT to enhance the standards of teaching and learning across all subjects within a range of schools. The work I had been doing in my previous school Westfield Sport College, mentoring staff and developing innovative practice through delivering numerous inset training sessions helped to inspire other teachers and helped raise the good and outstanding lessons taught in college to 90% from 54%, in just 12 months.

Alongside my teaching responsibilities I regularly deliver inset and training for other schools and departments both for myself and for some of the leading independent training providers for teachers in the UK, Osiris Education, Optimus Education, EdICT, United Learning, Subject Support to name but a few.

The work I have been doing has also been recognised by the Youth Sport Trust (as the best in the country) for whom I deliver and display my skills and work with new technologies to other schools and teachers from across the country by regularly delivering training conferences for them and working on specific projects they run.

In addition to this my relationship with the Sky Sports Living for Sport project is strong, I have been heavily involved helping and providing the students to create various programmes, documentaries and promotional material featuring Jessica Ennis and my students. I have also recently completed my Masters Certificate in Education focusing it on ICT and mobile technology in PE. This blog will give you an insight into the everyday life of an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated PE teacher. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @PEeducator

I also write and deliver online CPD courses for PE teachers showcasing the work i have done, in addition i produce bespoke, unique lesson resources that facilitate independent learning.
